Young Milan beat mighty Juve

Montella’s young Milan side yesterday defeated league leaders and champions Juventus thanks to great goal from youngster Locatelli mid-way through the second half.

For Juventus this was the sec- ond consecutiv­ve defeat at San Siro after suffering the same fate against Inter some weeks ago.

Jueventus had a first half Pjanic goal disallowed by the referee and Milan scored the winner on 65 minutes when 18- year old Locatelli fired home a beauty.

In the dying seconds goalkeeper Donnarumma saved Milan’s victory effecting a great save off a Khedira shot.

The victory consolidat­es Milan’s second place as they now trail the Bianconeri by two points.

Sampdoria ended a six-match winless streak in style by beating rival Genoa 2-1 in a Serie A derby yesterday.

Sampdoria moved up to 13th place while Genoa remained ninth.

Luis Muriel put Sampdoria ahead 12 minutes in after being set up by Fabio Quagliarel­la at the edge of the box.
