HSBC UK Contact Centre to increase workforce

● 80 new careers in Q1 of 2017

-

The HSBC UK Contact Centre in Swatar will be recruiting 80 new employees in the first quarter of this year. This increase in workforce follows the positive results achieved through the services provided.

“We are committed to deliver the best possible service to our clients, and therefore we make sure that the team is offered excellent working conditions,” stated Angela Brown, recruitment manager at the HSBC UK Contact Centre in Swatar.

Team members benefit from a competitive remuneration package which comes with other benefits such as a mortgage subsidy, health insurance, life insurance, childcare subsidy and others.

Since no previous banking experience is required for the job, a full 11 weeks of paid training will be provided to all new employees. The Centre also offers various career advancement opportunities within its five departments.

“I joined the team seven years ago, fresh out of school as a customer service representative and thanks to the various opportunities available I am now managing the Academy Department,” said Daniel Gatt, Academy manager. “I never would have thought that working within such a big organisation also means receiving personalised training and career opportunities as we go along.”

Learning and Development manager Elaine Mifsud Western said that she joined the team nine years ago straight after graduating, attracted by the working conditions offered and the above average remuneration package. “What really makes the difference is the guidance one receives throughout the years.”

All HSBC UK Contact Centre employees enjoy the use of a fully-fledged gym on site free of charge. Qualified gym instructors provide employees with personalised training programmes and guidance during their workouts.

The Centre has now started recruiting 80 new individuals to join the team. All those interested can contact Ms Brown on 2320 8130 or sending an email to malta.recruitment@hsbc.com

One can visit the Centre on Saturday during the Open Day between 9am and 3pm, to tour the premises as well as meet representatives from different areas to get more information about the opportunities that are available. Prospective candidates are encouraged to bring a photo ID and a CV on the day.
