England edges Wales 21-16 in Cardiff
Rugby
England remained unbeaten by downing Wales 21-16 in Cardiff yesterday, and for the second Six Nations match in a row its replacements produced another crucial late converted try.
Elliot Daly crossed in the left corner with four minutes to go and Owen Farrell converted from the touchline to overcome a 16-14 deficit and force Wales to score a converted try to win.
But the Welsh, who have prided themselves on their fitness in the Warren Gatland era, had nothing left to offer and likely saw their title hopes snuffed out by England for a third straight year.

Ireland beats record 63-10 Italy by
Ireland earned the first Six Nations four-try bonus point in beating Italy by a record 63-10 at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday.
The Irish got their title hopes back on track with try hat tricks for flanker CJ Stander and replacement winger Craig Gilroy. All nine of Ireland’s tries were converted by Paddy Jackson on a balmy afternoon.
They were Ireland’s first tournament hat tricks in 15 years. They propelled Ireland to its highest score in the Six Nations, surpassing 60-13 against Italy in 2000.
All of Italy’s points came in the first half from a converted penalty try and a Carlo Canna penalty. Yesterday
