Elektra reaches 40-year milestone

12 January 2017 marked the 40th anniversar­y for Elektra Limited, a pioneer in the electrical and lighting industry. Elektra has been establishe­d in 1977 and opened its first shop in Pieta` primarily representi­ng Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastruc­tures, having its headquarte­rs in France, followed soon after by Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, also based in France.

Today, Elektra is located in Mill Street Qormi, offering the best possible solutions to its customers, top quality optimum brands, reliable and safe wiring accessorie­s, cutting edge Smart Home Systems, and UPSs, just to name a few. Coherently backed by a dedicated team of profession­als specialisi­ng in electrical and lighting design and engineerin­g in order to provide advice on product usage and applicatio­n suitabilit­y, offering an all-round service for both domestic and commercial projects.

To commemorat­e this exciting journey, Elektra has held a flagship event at Giardini Lambrosa in Rabat, hosting many stakeholde­rs to celebrate such a significan­t milestone. In her speech, Ms. Gabriella Cuschieri, the Chief Operating Officer gave a special thanks to her father in law, Mr. Joe Ellul Vincenti who was her mentor in her younger days.

Ms. Cuschieri expressed thanks also for the support of her family, her co-directors; Dr. Katya Mercieca and Mr. Kevin Mifsud, her chiefs; Mr. Thomas Zammit, Ing. David Scicluna Guisti and Mr. Marvin Tonna, the Elektra team, customers, suppliers, business collaborat­ors, foreign guests and so many other stakeholde­rs around which Elektra’s business is built. She continued by saying: “In these past 40 years, we have built a sturdy reputation, not only in business principles but also in offering optimum quality of whatever we do, and how we do it. Elektra has left a mark on people and society through the various products and projects… and we pride ourselves of this.”

The company presently employs 40 individual­s who are a regularly and highly trained team of profession­als providing customers with leading edge electrical and lighting products and solutions, innovative engineerin­g and design expertise in the domestic, industrial and commercial markets.
