Irish Short Film Festival 2017 Malta Edition
Curated by Eibh Collins of IndieCork Festival and supported by the Embassy of Ireland in Malta, the upcoming Irish Short Film Festival 2017 Malta Edition will feature a selection of some of the latest Irish shorts on Saturday 1 April at the Salesians Theatre in Sliema.
The Irish Film Fest celebrates how short film cinema emanating from Ireland is a journey of discovery in the land of mist and magical landscapes. Like Irish landscapes, the short films being screened are varied, genre-defying and fascinating, from realistic portrayals of reallife people to narrative and experimental.
Hosted by Audrey Scerri, this festival is a unique alternative exhibition platform since these Irish shorts are not screened at local cinemas or on television,
The audience will also be given the opportunity to vote for the best film.
The Irish Short Film Festival 2017 Malta Edition is being supported by the Embassy of Ireland to Malta, Double R Meats, Harmony Farm, Jameson Irish Whiskey and Guinness.
Tickets are on sale now, but numbers are limited and the organisers we cannot guarantee entry on the night without a ticket. Festival tickets can also be delivered to your residence.
Tickets are at €10 and include a free tot of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Doors open at 5.45pm. For bookings text 99052482 or email euromediaforum@gmail.com. There will be free parking at St Patrick's Salesian School on St John Bosco Street, Sliema.
