PN waiting for auditor general report on ITS site, pledges to keep it in St Julian’s
The Nationalist Party is waiting for the completion of the Auditor General’s report on the transfer of land currently occupied by the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) before deciding on the way forward, Nationalist Party leader Simon Busuttil said yesterday.
Whatever the outcome, he said, the ITS will remain in the hub of tourist activity in St Julian’s.
If the AG’s report finds irregularities in the way in which the land was transferred by the government to be developed by the db group into a tourist complex, then the ITS will remain where it is.
If, on the other hand, the report finds no irregularities, then a new PN government will look for an alternative piece of land where a new ITS can be built, Dr Busuttil said.
