West Ham officially unveil Marko Arnautovic

-

West Ham have officially unveiled the signing of Marko Arnautovic after completing the formalities on his £24million move from Stoke.

The Hammers took to their official website and social media channels to show off their latest summer signing, who has put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

The 28-year-old posed for pictures in the famous claret shirt of the Hammers and joins the likes of Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta as new arrivals at the club.

West Ham were keen to get their man after a series of bids were initially rejected by the Midlands club.

Speaking about his transfer following the completion of the deal, Arnautovic told West Ham's official website: 'It feels special to me to be a West Ham player.

'Everyone knows that West Ham is a big Club, with big history and I'm happy to be a part of it now. I can't wait to get started.

'I played against West Ham at the old stadium – I didn't play last year at the new stadium because I was suspended – but I came to the game and I can only say it is a massive Club with a lot of fans.

'They are crazy for football and this is what I like. The Club is still growing, getting better and better and that's why I'm here,' he added.

The Hammers actually turned down the chance to sign the forward from Werder Bremen when Sam Allardyce was in charge in 2013 - after the option to take Arnautovic for £2.6million was not taken.
