There aren’t many internationally-renowned bands that can claim to be at the top of any category but, Boyce Avenue – a band that got together in 2004 and started uploading covers to YouTube three years later from a bedroom – can. Over the past 10 years, in fact, Boyce has amassed an astonishing following of 10 million subscribers who have clocked in over 3.5 billion views on the video-sharing website, making them the planet’s number one independent band online.

Now, as Boyce’s world tour – which has taken the band as far afield as South and North America, and the rest of Europe – is about to hit Malta for the first time ever thanks to Big Ticket Events. The concert, which is supported by the Malta tourism authority, The Point and XFM, will take place on Saturday 11 November at the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta – and it’s set to be even more special as it will be live and unplugged… A rarity for a band that now inhabits prestigious concert venues like the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Malta will be an even more special destination for the brothers, who are originally from Sarasota, Florida, as they have planned to spend a couple of days roaming the island as tourists before their big Malta debut. And, while they have admitted that they don’t know much about the island, their excitement in a recent video for Maltese fans was pretty obvious!

Audiences to the final show of the band’s Be Somebody World Tour 2017 will be treated to unplugged versions of its original work (Boyce have released three albums over the years: All You’re Meant to Be (2009), All That’s Left (2010) and Road Less Traveled (2016)), as well as acoustic covers of loads of famous songs from various genres, including pop and RnB.

Maltese fans have responded with enthusiasm to Boyce Avenue’s announcement that the band will be visiting Malta, too. In fact, tickets to the concert have almost completely sold out with just a couple of handfuls left. And, the band has even announced meet-andgreet packages for Malta on their website, giving fans the chance to meet and hang out with the boys themselves.

So, with less than a week left till the highly-anticipated concert, don’t be too surprised if you bump into Alejandro, Daniel and Fabian roaming the streets of Malta!
