Winners of The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants in Malta & Gozo survey

Since the start of the millennium, The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants in Malta & Gozo has become a household name. Lisa Grech, director of The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Co. Ltd identified a gap in the market for unbiased popular opinion on where to eat out and have a memorable dining experience. The popular survey, which runs annually throughout the month of September, has gone from strength to strength, since transitioning online in recent years. Five fantastic prizes this year have served as an added incentive to diners out to take the time to rate their experiences and shape the future of Malta’s most renowned restaurant guide.

Congratulations go to the winner of this year’s Definitive(ly) Good Guide restaurant survey, Joanna Pisani, who was thrilled to discover that rating the highest number of restaurants and adding comments from her personal experiences had won her a luxury weekend break on B&B basis at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julian’s. Stephanie Vassallo was very popular among her colleagues when she announced that she had won herself a one-hour ride in an exclusive Route 66 Hummer limousine with free flowing prosecco, by bagging second place among the many restaurant survey participants! Dical House were proud to present a stunning leather wine set and sparkling wine, worth €300, to Jayne Wood who came in third place. The fourth and fifth runners-up, Maria Grech Gerada and Sheena Mifsud respectively, won themselves a €100 voucher to exchange with Mirachem’s selection of fine wines and €100 voucher to exchange with internationally-acclaimed Riedel glassware.

This year saw a record number of participants who completed the online survey − 2,368 members of the general public filled in the questionnaire, dining out an average of twice a week, making a total of 246,272 dining experiences a year! Food aficionados are invited to reserve their place at the annual Gala Dinner to be held on Monday, 4 December at the Xara Lodge, where the award winners of The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants in Malta & Gozo 2018 will be unveiled amid much fanfare!
