3D printing seminar at XYZprinting

-

Intercomp has recently been appointed distributors in Malta for one of the leading 3D printer brands on the global market, XYZprinting, which forms part of the New Kinpo Group.

XYZprinting products range from small 3D printers for home use up to industrial UV Laser 3D printer models.

A one-day training session was recently organized by Intercomp with the scope to introduce and bring this technology closer to Maltese students. Teachers of Design and Technology from ten randomly selected church schools were invited to this session in order to gain first-hand experience of this 3D technology. The training was conducted by a representative from XYZprinting, who came over to Malta purposely for the event.

The training session covered in depth step-by-step procedures on how to deliver an engaging STEAM-based lesson, using child-centric 3D software and 3D printers along the way.

XYZprinting provides a com- plete action-ready solution for every classroom environment. Students can build 3D models and 3D prints to assist their approach and ability to solve problems in the classroom.

At the end of the training session, a 3D printer was presented to every teacher for use at their respective schools.

With the help of these 3D printers students can look forward to building 3D models and 3D prints to assist their approach and ability to solve problems in the classroom. Designing and printing 3D models reinforces lessons in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics that are already being taught in the classroom. School curriculums can easily be enhanced by bringing 3D printing into the classroom.

Providing students with the tools to learn the STEAM fundamentals will help them in future studies, and prepare them for a career in related fields.
