COO appointed to Frank Salt Real Estate’s Board of Directors
Frank Salt Real Estate Ltd announced the recent appointment of Darren De Domenico, Chief Operating Officer to the Frank Salt Board of Directors. De Domenico joined the company in December 2014 as COO, assuming full responsibility for sales and letting operations, marketing, the overseas department, HR, IT, property management and home interiors divisions.
In the three years since joining the company, Mr De Domenico has had a significant impact on the growth of the Frank Salt Real Estate business, increasing turnover by 75 per cent and profits by a staggering 90 per cent. Growth came from the aggressive expansion of the Frank Salt Real Estate network in terms of both infrastructure and investment in human resources. The staff complement grew from 120 to almost 200 employees in the space of three years and five new branches were opened across the island in San Gwann, Tal-Ibrag, Mosta, and Cospicua, as well as a stand-alone Commercial division in Portomaso. “Frank Salt Real Estate is a pioneer in this industry and has been a leader in the market for nearly 50 years. Our investment into experienced staff and the expansion of our branch network was in line with keeping pace with the growing demand and needs of our customers,” De Domenico said.
In addition, De Domenico spearheaded a brand identity relaunch with a modernized visual identity reflecting the progress of the brand since its inception nearly five decades ago. The refreshed brand look and feel was evidenced by new logo designs as well as new websites for Frank Salt Real Estate and visually across its full branch network on Malta and Gozo in terms of office and marketing rebranding. De Domenico was also instrumental in the introduction of the “Let’s Be Frank” marketing and advertising campaign, which was launched in May 2017 and refers to the company’s ethos and honest way of doing business which the company has held in high regard since 1969.
De Domenico has over 20 years’ experience in management, sales, and marketing and held various executive roles during his career, including marketing director, sales director and managing director. Prior to his appointment, he managed one of Malta’s most established and successful companies in sales, marketing of consumer goods, and managed a property portfolio for which he was directly responsible, and in the construction of various commercial and residential projects.
De Domenico is also a non-executive director of Giov. Muscat Co. Ltd, Euro Print Ltd, TFEA Ltd, Fairs & Exhibitions Ltd and the Malta Trade Fair Corporation.
