Suċċessi Maltin by the Malta Concert Orchestra

Next Saturday, 7 April, the Malta Concert Orchestra will be performing the second edition of Suċċessi Maltin at the theatre of the Catholic Institute, Floriana.

The concert will bring back to life some of Malta’s best-loved songs in a concert dedicated to the memory of one of Malta’s foremost voices Tony ‘Bayzo’ Camilleri. The Malta Concert Orchestra will be joined on stage by Paul Giordimain­a, Joe Cutajar, Roger Tirazona, Catherine Vigar, Mike Spiteri, Maryrose Mallia, Olivia Lewis, Renato, Georgina and Debbie Scerri. Under the direction of Paul Abela, the singers will bring back to life such songs as Fejn tħobb il-qalb, Kellek tkun int, Xemx, Lewwel tfajla li ħabbejt, It-Talba, Kemm hu sabiħ and many others.

In 2017 the Malta Concert Orchestra successful­ly performed a number of concerts at Pjazza Teatru Rjal as well as in various localities around Malta as part of the theatre’s community outreach programme Pjazza fi Pjazza. The orchestra’s mission is “to reach out to people across the board through accessible and inspiring musical performanc­es” and this year the Malta Concert Orchestra will continue to do just that with a varied programme that has been specifical­ly designed to meet everyone’s tastes.
