Easter in Gozo

-

Everyone concurs that, through such projects and other initiatives, the island’s young but promising economy is steadily converting Gozo from a burden to a dynamic complement to Malta’s healthy and constant economic growth. Within the wider remit of the Gozo Ministry – and together with all those involved, I strive to promote Gozo not only as a distinct destination but also as a quality destination that is unique and unforgettable. It is imperative that tourists receive the highest level of service when visiting our island, as this is what makes Gozo stand out as a different tourist destination for repeat visitors.

Initiatives such as the creation of thematic festi- vals and other cultural events, such as the current Easter celebrations, are helping considerably to transform Gozo into an all-year-round tourist attraction. This year’s coordination of so many religious and traditional events has seen very positive results, with thousands from the domestic and foreign market crossing over and spending Good Friday and the Easter holidays in Gozo. I am indeed pleased that those who visited Gozo over the last few days had a very positive experience.

In our line of work maintaining the momentum is also a must. Whilst thanking everyone for their collaboration, I wish all Gozitans and visitors a peaceful and blessed Easter.
