€4,500 raised for Hospice Malta

-

On 6 April representatives from Malta University Holding Company and BRND WGN met Hospice Malta’s fund-raising coordinator. They were excited to hand over €4,500 which was raised from this year’s BRND WGN & University Ring Road races.

The Malta University Holding Company has been organising these races since 2013 and in each edition has donated half the race fees to Hospice. This is the third year that the company has joined forces with BRND WGN, who increased the overall external support and has helped the races reach new heights.

The other main sponsors of the 2018 edition were Delta Media Services, Engel & Völkers Sara Grech Ltd, Key Contractors, XFM 100.2, Garmin Malta and Outdoor Living. This led to a record amount of money being raised for Hospice. Furthermore, this year marked the return of Murphy, BRND WGN's mysterious man in pink and his running campaign to help encourage more people to donate.

Last month, almost 400 participants showed their support for Hospice Malta by participating in the seventh edition of this annual road running event. Records were smashed, trophies and medals were won, but more importantly everybody ran for a cause.

Hospice Malta is a voluntary not-for-profit organisation, today caring for over 1,000 patients and their families. Their services are offered free of charge to patients suffering from cancer, motor neurone disease and end life respiratory, cardiac and renal disease.
