On 49 minutes Marcolino’s solo run ended with a shot from the edge of the area saved by Cassar. In the 54th minute Zerafa anticipated Kristensen handling in the process with the match official pointing to the penalty spot. From the resultant kick Tiago Adan Fonseca buried the ball in the net scoring his fourth goal of the season.
And Hibernians continued to dominate the proceedings with another goal in the 63rd minute when Mbong brought Nicolas Marcolino with only Cassar to beat with the Brazilian making no mistake for the Paolites third.
Marcolino was unlucky to hit the woodwork in the 67th minute but Sanderra’s boys scored their fourth through striker Jurgen Degabriele finding the corner of the net following a solo run.
Ten minutes from time Bezzina found Marcolino but his low drive from an angle scraped the upright. And in the 85th minute Cassar blocked well on Mbong with Blazevic hitting the woodwork with a shot from inside the area on the stroke of time.
Tarxien made the score more respectable deep into stoppage time when Darren Falzon converted a well executed free kick.
