PKF welcomes 2019 with an art exhibition in aid of ALS Malta Foundation
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, PKF Malta hosted its second art exhibition and reception in aid of ALS Malta Foundation. The event was held on Friday, 18 January at The Villa, Balluta Bay, St Julian’s.
During the event, guests and client members were invited to examine the various art pieces on display courtesy of some of Malta’s most distinguished artists namely Ed Schembri, Clemens Hasengschwandtner, Mark Mallia, Patrick Dalli, Tijana Rašković and Dag Art in an effort to raise funds for ALS Malta Foundation.
A generous amount of €5,000 was raised for ALS Malta Foundation from art sales and donations received on the night. George Mangion, senior partner at PKF, welcomed the noble gesture from clients and staff and augured to plan a similar event aimed at a bigger audience next year.
While thanking PKF Malta for hosting this event, ALS Malta Foundation chairman, Bjorn Formosa said: “Last year has been a very challenging one, both for myself and the ALS Malta Foundation. I underwent a major operation, which seemed daunting at first but we fought back to return and move a step forward towards realising our next big dream: The newer and bigger Dar Bjorn. We are fully focused on this unique project which will be a first both for Malta and the whole world. We are proud to participate for the second consecutive year in the annual PKF charity art exhibition and reception, which will help us to come closer towards achieving our big goal. Thank you all for your great support and looking forward to next year’s event.”
