Emirates airlines celebrated Australia Day in Malta with local media journalists and editors at Chukkas restaurant. Right from the start in 1998, Australia was and still is an important and strategic destination for Emirates Airlines. Over the past years, the airline has provided a seamless daily link and carried over 150,000 passengers and cargo, to and from Malta.
Addressing the media journalists, Emirates country manager, Paul Fleri Soler said: “Today Emirates operates 13 daily flights to and from Aus- tralia. These currently include a quadruple-daily service to Sydney, triple-daily service to Melbourne and Brisbane, a twice-daily service from Perth and a daily service from Adelaide. Furthermore, in 2018, following a code sharing agreement with Qantas, Emirates has increased its coverage on this continent.
While thanking the media for their continuous support, Fleri Soler, added: “We are proud to have created a daily connection for Maltese travellers to Australia and beyond. During the past years, the airline has continued to reaffirm its commitment to Malta by steadily increasing its passenger and cargo capacity to meet the growing demand.”
