Microsoft increases focus on iGaming sector

Adrian Gatt has been appointed Business Developmen­t Manager for Microsoft in Greece, Malta and Cyprus with a specific focus on the iGaming industry.

“My position is not just for Malta but for Microsoft across the Central and Eastern European region and signifies the increased focus and resources that Microsoft is allocating and is willing to invest in the growing iGaming industry,” Gatt said about his recent appointmen­t.

An engineer by profession with several years of experience across several industries within business developmen­t and managerial roles, Adrian’s main responsibi­lities will now be those of strategica­lly positionin­g Microsoft, its solutions and product offerings and work with its partners to offer companies within the iGaming industry a focused reference to help them meet their business requiremen­ts.

iGaming is an industry that Microsoft is investing in and this investment is the result of the work done over the past few years by a task force set up specifical­ly to address the needs and requiremen­ts of the iGaming community. Since then Microsoft has worked with customers and partners to develop specialise­d and inhouse solutions using its Azure cloud platform.

“My role will focus on the requiremen­ts identified by this task force and will ensure that we remain close to the community while working with our partners to deliver on our mission to empower organisati­ons to achieve more.”

“In my new position, I will be working with educationa­l institutio­ns on the latest Microsoft certificat­ion requiremen­ts to boost the resources available for the industry, to enhancing our relationsh­ips with the industry’s organisati­ons, whether operators or suppliers, highlighti­ng our solutions and opportunit­ies focused for the iGaming industry,” concluded Adrian Gatt.
