Zejtun Corinthians had another impressive display yesterday to beat bottom of the table side Vittoriosa and move to second place in the standings. Fresh from their victory over league leaders Lija, Zejtun powered their way past a sorry Vittoriosa side, yesterday under the guidance of Ivan Zammit.

Vittoriosa tried their best but were never really in the game as they were much of the time on the receiving end, with their goalkeeper Zach Valletta making some daring saves to keep the score a respectable one.

Zejtun took the lead on eleven minutes with a great freekick scored Jurgen Suda, undoubtedly the player of the match. Zejtun doubled the score on the hour thanks to a Robeiro Do Nascimento goal following a Dylan Agius through pass.

On 70 minutes Jurgen Suda crowned a great performance scoring his second goal with a great solo run and eleven minutes from time Vittoriosa pulled one back with a Sidibe header after Guerrero’s had hit the crossbar.
