Maltese pianist and composer on international compilation – Buddha Bar Greatest Hits

Clifford Borg is the first Maltese artist to be part of the release of the international compilation Buddha Bar Greatest Hits with the track Firerain. Clifford explains that he has always been following Buddha Bar since the very beginning and for him it was like a dream to be part of this compilation. However, when I received the news that the track will be part of the Greatest Hits compilation it was like a dream come true Clifford adds. For many Maltese artists their dream is to win the Eurovision and mine was to be on this international compilation. DJ Ravin, the producer of Buddha Bar, is very selective and to be part of this release is a really huge achievement.

To celebrate the end of the year, Buddha-Bar, creator of Lounge music, is releasing its first greatest hits. Born in 1997, Buddha-Bar has become a Lounge temple of excellence. Now with more than 40 references in its catalogue, a wealth of 20 years of experience and around 20 venues worldwide, Buddha-Bar unveils its first greatest hits of the Buddha-Bar music series, beautifully wrapped and signed by Ravin. Carefully selected over the years, this triple album CD (and double vinyl) takes the audience to a bold journey to various musical cultures. From Middle East, India, passing by Africa and South American, the master “Ravin” promises hours of escape and serenity.

Firerain was originally released in 2018 by the Austrian Label Davinio Records and spent months at the top of the World Chill out Charts. The main message for the song was to find the forgotten fire of youth and to let it out and dance even when it rains. The track also features the Indian violinist Gautam Karnik and the Austrian producer STJ.

Last year Clifford had an eventful year playing in prestigious places such as the Berlin Philharmonic Hall in October which was supported by the Cultural

Export Fund − Malta Arts Fund and in December at the Ennejma Ezzahra in Tunisia for the annual festival Les Classique. It was supported by the Maltese Embassy in Tunis and the Centre for Arab and Mediterranean Music CMAM.

Clifford is currently working on a new piano album and is preparing for piano performances in Europe.
