Game on for Malta Week

-

Closing off a year of global events, SiGMA Group is back on home turf for Malta Week during November 14-18, with a jampacked schedule of events.

Four of SiGMA Group’s biggest brands will come together for one massive festival. With over 1000 exhibitors and sponsors, the Ta’ Qali expo floor and The Hilton have been completely sold out to brands seeking to promote themselves.

For this event, the Group is expecting to welcome 25,000 delegates. The plethora of guests vary from different industries and verticals. From operators and suppliers, to techies and affiliates, SiGMA.World offers a number of different ticket options to suit different budgets and requirements.

Free shuttle buses will be available throughout the day to take delegates from our selected hotels to the exhibition center and back. Pickup is every 20-30 minutes, running from 8:30am till 7:30pm. Alternatively you can get to the MFCC by bus and taxi, or if you’re feeling fancy – with the official SiGMA helicopter.

Malta Week has gone all out to cultivate a laid-back networking atmosphere, offering drinks and networking dinners all located at some of Mata’s best restaurants - all within walking distance of our selected hotels in addition to golf, padel, football, and poker competitions.

Delegates arriving on the 14th can attend the SiGMA VIP Golf tournament by Axes - held at the Royal Malta Golf Club, the SiGMA Cup by All-in Global, which is taking place at Luxol Football Club, and an iGaming Fun run by Endorphina taking place in St Julian’s. There are prizes attached to the 5km run, so register in advance to be sure you ensure your spot.

The Ikigai Retreat for VCs will also take place on the 14th. The event is limited to 30 qualified VCs and strictly by invite only. A padel tournament by All-in-Global is also scheduled for the 18th in Pembroke – and includes padel, drinks, and pitchside BBQ. Players are capped at 32, but spectators are welcome.

Fans of MMA will be able to watch a Fight Night, which will feature famous MMA fighters competing in a significant mixed martial arts event, hosted by SiGMA in collaboration with Centurion FC. This will be happening on the 16th at the Ta’ Qali Basketball Pavilion in Ta’ Qali.

Additionally, there will be no fewer than six different award ceremonies honouring the pioneers who are reshaping the gaming, digital marketing, emerging technology, and digital health sectors. The SiGMA Foundation will handle various fund-raising auctions during these gala evenings as part of the SiGMA Group’s charity endeavours.

Dinners are by invite only. If you have a dinner included in your ticket and did not receive an invitation please reach out to the customer care service on SiGMA’s website. You will need to RSVP to the invite to ensure your place on the guest list.

It has become custom for industry officials to address SiGMA summits and mingle with guests and this year’s edition is no different.

This year SiGMA will welcome the likes of the Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Minister of Finance of Curacao, Profs. Scott Stornetta and Carl the Moon among the others.

Maltese government officials, including Prime Minister Robert Abela and Economy Minister Silvio Schembri, will also be present. Delegates will also get to meet SiGMA’s celebrity guests such as Roberto Carlos at Betwinner’s booth P18 who will be signing tshirts and taking photos with those present on November 15, as well as award-winning US rapper Fat Joe who is set to headline multiple performances at the traditional Malta Week closing night events as well as give a keynote on stage.

conferences

SiGMA Group focuses on in-person learning through engaging workshops that invite industry leaders from all over the world to share their expertise with hundreds of people. Because SiGMA wants to provide its delegates a complete in-person learning experience, the conference topics are carefully curated to provide inhouse learning.

Workshop and conference participation blurs the lines between formal and informal learning since it combines professional lectures with substantial networking with peers attending the same space.

startups

As part of the SiGMA startup village program, 100 companies will be hand-selected and given a free booth to display their products throughout the event, with the only distinction being whether they fall into one of two categories. This programme is intended to help new businesses and entrepreneurs obtain attention and investment; it is not intended to help existing businesses launch new products or divisions.

Startups that are in the prototype stage or have launched within the previous few months are more likely to be chosen than those who have received substantial media/investment attention but are still in the idea stage.
