Mobee's electric vehicle sharing system began operations in Monaco in 2014. At the time, ten electric Renault Twizzys appeared on the roads of the principality. Eco-friendly machines, available to all visitors to the principality, have become an excellent alternative to walking and personal transportation. The service is used by tourists, as well as people who, for example, commute to work in Monaco by train and travel across the principality in a rented electric car. Today, the car fleet has more than doubled – 25 cars are already operating in the Principality, the number of car parks has increased from 5 to 11, and the number of daily users is around 250, which is a good indicator for a country like Monaco. The electric cars are designed for 2 people – there is a space for the driver and one space in the back. The driver must be over 18 years old, as for a regular car.

The conditions for using the service are quite simple – just book a car in advance and you can use it for as long as you like, only the actual time used is charged, with use measured to the second. The cost of the trip depends on the tariff plan, on average it is 20 euros per hour. A car can be taken and parked anywhere. You can find the nearest vehicle using a specially designed mobile application. The service works 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And thanks to cooperation with the government of Monaco, parking is absolutely free both on the streets of the principality and in underground parking – the system automatically detects your car and opens a barrier in front of you. You can return the car to any point on the territory of the principality. The battery of the electric vehicle is designed for a trip range of up to 70 km. If necessary, it can be recharged at any of 450 charging points operating in the public parking areas of the principality. The fleet is set to be expanded by addition of four-door cars by 2020.
