Ulaanbaatar designates ‘Day to Protect Soil’

On Tuesday, Ulaanbaatar City Council designated April 27 as “the Day to Protect Soil” to address environmental problems faced by Ulaanbaatar residents, particularly soil-related issues.

The Ulaanbaatar City Council hopes to discuss measures to prevent soil, water, air and en- vironmental pollutions, as well as take sustainable action on this day.

The decision to proclaim April 27 the Day to Protect Soil was done in accordance with the Law on Public Holiday and other legislations, Ulaanbaatar City Council said.
