Top Asian volleyball players to compete in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar will host the Asian Eastern Zonal Men’s Volleyball Championship from May 20 to 26 at Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace.

Mongolia is hosting the Asian Eastern Zonal Men’s Volleyball Championship for the fourth time.

Previously, the tournament was hosted in Ulaanbaatar in 2000, 2008, and 2015.

Over 180 volleyball players from Macao, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia, China and Japan will participate this year’s tournament.

The preparation work of the tournament started a month ago, reported the organizers of the event.

The Mongolian team won a silver medal in 2000, bronze medal in 2008 and came in fourth place in 2015.
