Cabinet reviews a nuclear technology agreement

During Cabinet's weekly Wednesday meeting, Cabinet approved an agreement regarding nuclear science and technology, and regional cooperation for nuclear technology training and development.

The agreement is designed to carry out technology transfers, develop human re- sources, determine how nuclear technology can be adopted, help support sustainable development, and conduct a survey of the framework of regional cooperation.

By implementing projects under the agreement, Mongolia will have the opportunity to learn more about nuclear se- curity from foreign countries; adopt new nuclear technology in the education, science, health, food, and agricultural sectors; improve nuclear medicine to diagnose and treat disease; and strengthen the legal and regulatory environment for the nuclear sector.
