Mongolia comes in fourth at 2017 AVC Eastern Zonal Men’s Volleyball Championship
The annual Eastern Zonal Men’s Volleyball Championship of the Asian Volleyball
Confederation took place at Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace, from May 20 to 25, and the Mongolian team came in fourth place.
In the bronze medal match, Mongolia faced South Korea, but lost 0:3. A team from Japan claimed a gold medal, followed by teams from Taiwan and South Korea.
Eight teams from China, South Korea, Macau, Mongolia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, North Korea, and Japan competed in the tournament. The eight teams were drawn into two groups of four teams. Group A was comprised of China, South Korea, Macau and Mongolia, while Group B consisted of Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and North Korea.
Mongolia hosted the AVC Eastern Zonal Volleyball Championship for the fourth time.
