After much deliberation and conflict, the ruling Mongolian People’s Party has finalized its nominations of ministers in Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh’s Cabinet.
Caucus leader of the Mongolian People’s Party D.Khayankhyarvaa introduced the nominations, which will be submitted to Parliament after consultation with President Kh.Battulga and the Independent Authority against Corruption (IAAC).
“The caucus of MPP has discussed the issue of appointing the new Cabinet. The nominations set forth by the board of MPP were presented to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will then present it to the President. If possible, we want to form our Cabinet today or tomorrow,” stated D.Khayankhyarvaa.
What the President and IAAC have to say on the matter will ultimately affect how fast the Cabinet is formed.
According to the caucus leader, the role of deputy ministers was not discussed at the meeting. Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh announced that his Cabinet will keep the positions of deputy ministers.
“We have discussed at great length the nominations of Cabinet. The nominees were chosen because of their knowledge, profession, and
experience,” underlined D.Khayankhyarvaa.
