Avragch Sports Committee takes victory at State Weightlifting Championships

The State Adult Weightlifting Championships was held on January 2 and 3 at the Central Sports Palace.

It has been 64 years since the men’s event launched, while it’s been 21 years for the women’s event. Some 180 athletes of 16 teams competed in 15 weight categories (Man-8, Women-7) at the State Adult Weightlifting Championships this year.

The women’s team of Avragch Sports Committee, under the National Environment Management Authority, won the championships this year, while the men’s team of the committee claimed silver medal.

B.Tsend-Ayush, the vice captain of the 61st Division of Fire and Rescue Services of Saikhan soum, Selenge Province, was named the Best Male Athlete.

94 kg Gold medal – Sports Vice Master B.TsendAyush
