Ulsyn khartsaga O. Khangai triumphs

After 20 years, Central Sports Palace hosted a wrestling tournament in honor of the three great wrestlers of Tsagaan Uur soum, Khuvsgul Province (D.Damdin, J.Tseveenravdan and Ch.Beejin).

The top 128 wrestlers, including Ts.Sodnomdorj, R.Purevdagva, B.Batmunkh, N.Jargalbayar, Kh.Gantulga, D.Bat-Erdene, M.Badarch and O.Khangai, competed fiercely at the Central Sports Palace.

Ulsyn khartsaga O.Khangai from Chandmani soum, Khovd Province took the victory while Ts.Sodnomdorj from Tosontsengel soum of Khuvsgul Province placed second.

Ulsyn zaan N.Jargalbayar from Mandal soum, Selenge Province and Ulsyn Khartsaga Kh.Gantulga from Uyanga soum, Uvurkhangai Province remained in the semi-final.

Furthermore, aimgyn arslan Ts.Munkhbayar from Tes soum, Uvs Province was awarded the Skillful Wrestler prize.

The prosecutor of Bayanzurkh District banned the Wrestling Palace to host either sports or cultural events due to disputes between wrestling federations.

The last time the Central Sports Palace hosted a wrestling competition was in October 1998.
