260 Taiwanese athletes come to Mongolia

A multi-day race was co-organized by New Juulchin Tours LLC and a Taiwanese tour company in Mongolia.

Some 260 Taiwanese athletes came to Mongolia to take part in the multi-day race while being introduced to Mongolian tradition and culture.

The Taiwanese team which participated in the marathon this year was the biggest comparing to previous years.

The Ulaanbaatar International Marathon took place in Bayangovi, Elsen Tasarkhai and Tsonjinboldog on May 18 and in Ulaanbaatar on May 19.

Head of the Representative Office of Taiwan in Mongolia Huang Kuo-Jung said, “The geographical features of Mongolia are really convenient to hold not only a marathon but also bicycle tour, hiking, camp tour and horse trip, which let tourists enjoy the beauty of Mongolian nature. Therefore, I hope the two countries' tourism industry will increase their cooperation and bring more Taiwanese tourists to Mongolia and strengthen bilateral ties.”
