DP to continue ‘Listening to Mongolia’ campaign
The Democratic Party’s board and National Policy Committee decided to continue the “Listening to Mongolia II” campaign through October across the country.
The party held the first phase of the campaign in 152 khoroos of Ulaanbaatar’s nine districts and over 330 soums of 21 provinces from May 4 to June 15.
Most people who attended meetings held under the campaign asked the party to focus on addressing unemployment, reducing air pollution in Ulaanbaatar and some provinces, improving land allocation, lowering loan interest rates, enhancing the quality and sufficiency of healthcare and education, and improve the implementation of the government’s action plan.
After concluding the first campaign, the party conducted a summary of public feedback, and 960 people gave feedback regarding the party’s amended constitution and new plans for the next parliamentary election; 202 people wanted the party to deliver their feedback to the president; 1,187 feedbacks were submitted to the government; and 372 feedbacks went to DP’s caucus in Parliament.
As the party believes that listening to more people about the party’s operations, upcoming decisions on socio-economic concerns, and plans for the next parliamentary election will be crucial for the party to make better decisions and learn more about the nation’s society and economy, they decided to continue the campaign.
