Tucsin Tsumkwe Lodge
Situated on the south-western outskirts of the small town of Tsumkwe (where fuel is available). Camping costs R150 p.p. (with power); other accommodation R920 p.p. sharing (B&B). Nyae Nyae Conservancy (Pannetjiesveld)
Wild camping south of Tsumkwe. Make sure you leave nothing behind. There is an official campsite at Holboom (no facilities), which costs about R100 per person. GPS: S19.67761 E20.61890
Khaudum National Park
North of Tsumkwe. Entrance costs R10 p.p. per day for Namibians; R30 p.p. for South Africans (and other SADC residents); R80 p.p. for overseas visitors. Vehicle fee R10 – R30 per day. ( The staff weren’t sure.) There are two campsites, Sikereti in the south and Khaudum in the north, with basic facilities like a donkey boiler to heat water for your shower, and toilets. Khaudum Camp has six new stands, each with its own flush toilet and hot water shower. There’s no electricity. Camping R300 p.p. (Khaudum); R100 p.p. (Sikereti). R100 per vehicle; R30 per bundle of wood.
