Okonjima Lodge

Turn off the B1 about 44 km south of Otjiwarong­o. There are four exclusive camping stands, each with its own bathroom and covered stoep. Camping R330 per adult. Children 16 and younger pay half-price. There’s a swimming pool a short stroll away. Lodge rooms are pricey, but there’s a DB&B special for SADC residents at the Plains Camp until the end of June 2017: R1 375 per adult sharing (R688 for kids aged 7 – 16, free for younger kids) if you book for one night. For two nights it’s R1 032 per adult sharing (R516 for kids aged 7 – 16). For three nights it’s R917 per adult sharing (R458 for kids aged 7 – 16). They offer loads of activities – see their website. The turn-off is about 28 km north of Otjiwarong­o on the B1.
