Hollard Life, MBM Racing win TTT Tour de Windhoek

Hollard Life cycling and Mannie’s Bike Maker (MBM) ladies racing team finished first during the Team Time Trial (TTT) of the 2020 edition of the Tour de Windhoek on Friday afternoon.

In the men’s category, Hollard Life beat MBM Racing, who came just two seconds behind them at the Tony Rust Race track along the Daan Viljoen road on the outskirts of Windhoek.

Hollard Life finished the TTT event in a time of 22 minutes 34 seconds (22:34) while MBM Racing finished behind them in a time of 22:36. CYMOT Racing Team came in third position with a time of 25:01.

Meanwhile, in the women’s category MBM Racing came first in a time of 19:15 while Pupkewitz Megabuild finished second in a time of 20:09 and Food Lovers Market completed the top three standing in a time of 20:27.

On the overall ranking after stage two of the Tour de Windhoek, MBM Racing is leading the men’s category with a time of eight hours 34 minutes and 40 seconds (08:34:40) while Hollard Life is just three minutes and four second behind them in a time of 08:37:36.

The third position is occupied by MBM/ Lema who finished fifth in the TTT event but were third during stage one of the tour which was held on the Dordabis Road in a time of 08:29:12.

Pupkewitz Megabuild is leading the women’s category with a time of 06:37:51 while MBM racing and Food Lovers Market are in second and third places respective­ly.

MBM Racing is behind with six minutes 28 second with a time of 06:43:23 while Food Lovers are third in a time of 06:52:33 which is 15 minutes and 18 seconds behind the leading team. –Nampa
