Education is key...

NKURENKURU – Mobile Telecommunications Limited’s (MTC) chief human capital and corporate affairs officer, Tim Ekandjo has urged learners to take their education serious and to not allow their current circumstances to stand in their journey to glorious life.

“The reason why you are in education is to craft a future for yourself, and I want to speak to the learners, especially the girls, to remain focused because as you said in the song, it is only education that can unlock your future and I’m being very very serious,” Ekandjo said.

He said that with education, they can attain their dreams irrespective of who they are or their current backgrounds.

“Because if you see what education has done for many of us, including myself and this beautiful brand here, you’ll see that an investment in education is an investment in your future,” he added.

Ekandjo further called on the learners to not allow their current circumstances to negatively influence their visions by being able to make a distinction between the two.

“I want to tell you that you must make a clear distinction between your current circumstances and your vision. In this life, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, you can be anything that you want to be and that, you must always remember,” he stated.

Ekandjo was speaking at a ceremony held at Sinzogoro Combined School in the Kavango West’s Kapako constituency on Thursday, where the giant mobile telecommunications company officially handed over a block of four classrooms and two storerooms it constructed for the school under its MTC Rural Schools project.
