“The only way to ensure that all these Namibian inclusive accomplishments can be achieved is when you go out in big numbers and vote for your party’s candidates,” she said.

The government has over years invested massively in the production and infrastructure sections in terms of renewable energy, provision of potable water and transport infrastructure as tangible examples, said the prime minister.

“Government also set up special funding institutions over time like the Agribank and Development Bank of Namibia qualifying Namibians failing to provide surety to obtain finance from commercial banks to start businesses bringing about employment creation, income generation and self sustainability ,” she said.

The Swapo politician added that the youth have been adequately catered for when the government introduced and implemented youth enterprises countrywide through which they can access and qualify for funding.

She added that such funding is channelled through an institution like the Social Security Commission and Development Bank of Namibia to penetrate the economic streamline in the private sector.

Kuugongelwa-Amadhila also said the government has prioritised social sectors of health, education, housing and sanitation as key areas in budget allocations. She continued that the government also injected more funding into tertiary institutions to ensure the youth can acquire the necessary skills needed in different sectors of life.

“Apart from that, government allocated N$200 million annually to provide for these graduates to gain the necessary practical experience through internship practical training,” she added.

The party stalwart continued that government is continuously supporting socio- economic developmental programmes like provision of housing to the low-income sector and the provision of land through initiatives not necessarily requiring payment for the less fortunate members of the community.

She then implored Swapo supporters that “The onus thus lies upon you to bring about the change you want to see and that can only happen if you go out in numbers and vote for the party’s nominated candidates for the upcoming regional council-and local authority elections.”

She further warned them not to get involved in political squabbles with other political parties and rather report incidents of getting provoked during campaigning to law enforcement agencies.
