Sinte Mathe popularly known as Deonte the Zambezi Princess has two singles out for her fans just in time for the holiday rush. Deonte told Entertainment Now! that she recently released ‘Work things out' featuring S.I.S and ‘Forever' featuring Bolingo, which are inspired by her love life.

“Both these songs are afro-pop, ‘Work things out' talks about me messing up in a relationship and made it look like he was the one that messed up but at the end of the day, I want to make him understand that indeed I messed up not him, so perhaps he could forgive me and work things out. ‘Forever' is just me telling the guy that I will forever love him and so will he love me because our love is just too much,” she explained.

Deonte released her first album in 2014 but things did not go according to plan because of not knowing too much about the industry. “This is not my first release. I already have an album on the shelves that was released in 2014 which was sponsored by my uncle Dr Audrin Mathe. But unfortunately, it didn't get much attention because I lacked knowledge on how to go about marketing and promoting myself or the album in the industry. Nevertheless I am not giving up ‘cause we learn as we move on,” she confessed.

So far Deonte has received great reviews from the people that have listened to her and hopes the whole country will feel the same.

Like many artists, this year she has gone through a tough time – the female singer is no exception as her bookings were cancelled due to the pandemic.

“This was my breakthrough year, I had so many shows planned for the year all over the country but Covid-19 delayed my or rather dimmed my shine. But fortunately, we have two shows planned for December. I don't want to give dates for now because we are still rescheduling to see which dates are best suited for the shows. We have Organized Family as one of the supporting artists at one of the shows so we need to pick a date that fits everybody's schedule,” she said.

Deonte informed this reporter that the album will be ready next year or even earlier if everything goes according to plan. “Great artists are featured on this album, the likes of Organized Family, Flavour Shediva, Ashantie, Bolingo, with producers like Marko P, C Mark Trax from Zambia. This album will be the best thing that could ever happen to my fans. I am looking to feature more local artists across the country because if this album will be platinum internationally (which will definitely happen) all Namibian artists are dragged with,” she concluded.

Her music can be streamed on her YouTube channel called Deonte Mathe.
