D-Naff Entertainment drops Lady May Africa
After two years of making music with one of Namibia’ s most converted gospel music movements, Lady May Africa’s reign at the helm of D-Naff Entertainment has come to an end. This was after the owner of D-Naff Entertainment; D-Naff told unWrap.online that her contract will not be renewed for a third year.
“The rumours are true. She was on a 12-month renewable contract with D-Naff Entertainment and after two years the company cannot renew her contract anymore,” he stated.
Lady May Africa started her journey with D-Naff Entertainment in 2019 when she and D-Naff released a single titled ‘Let It Shine’ that attracted a lot of attention from the local and international gospel scene. She then dropped her first-ever gospel album later that year titled ‘Unbroken’ and she has made a few appearances on the local festival and event circuit as well as reaching new highs with the gospel genre.
Her last offering was another single titled ‘Lamb of God’, which was complemented with a music video on Good Friday last year. At the time she was quoted saying that, D-Naff would not stop until he got everything right.
“He is a great mentor. Today I am just grateful to be able to see this day where I can live to say ‘thank you Lord for sparing my life’. I could have died before I saw the light,” she said.
Her future may still be indistinct from the outside looking in, as one can only speculate what she has in store next.
“Lady May Africa has been a great artist under our management and we will miss her dearly,” D-Naff said.
