Decade of Football book to be available
Namibian football great and former Brave Warriors gaffer, Ricardo Mannetti’s recently launched ‘A Decade of Football’ book will be available countrywide soon.
Mannetti, who describes the book as a personal gift from him to all Namibians, said he is at an advanced stage of finalising the distribution route for the book and very soon, Namibians will be able to access copies at almost all retail stores nationwide.
“I’m very excited and can’t wait for all Namibians to enjoy the book with me. It is my personal gift to Namibia. Despite all the ongoing football politics, we still have a lot of achievements to celebrate as a country,” said the highly decorated mentor, who steered the Brave Warriors to their historic first-ever Cosafa trophy in 2015.
The 104-page book chronicles the many achievements of local football between 2010 and 2020.
It costs N$100. “It took us a lot of time and planning to get the book off the ground, but with God’s help, we managed to pull it off. The plan is to now ensure copies of the book are available countrywide and at shops close to the people. I have been talking to various big retailers and very soon, I will announce where the book can be bought.”
Mannetti led the Brave Warriors at the 2018 African Nations Championship (Chan) and at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) as a player.
“I’m also working on other exciting projects that I will soon announce, but for now, let’s enjoy the book and appreciate what we have achieved as a country in terms of football over the last decade.”
