Mushe unveils new

After extensive market research for nearly two years, Musician-cumbusinessman Mushe, real name Albert Uulenga, has finally released his shoe line.

Mushe toyed with the idea of having a shoe line in 2019 when he posted a few samples on social media for feedback before production kicked off.

He confirmed to VIBEZ! this week that the wait was worthwhile and a lot of planning and thought went into it.

“The idea came from All Stars [Chuck Taylor All-Stars or Converse All Stars]. I saw how All Stars are so popular so I thought, ‘why can’t I do mine locally and classy?’”

The shoe range is called CMushe, which is short for #COTAMUSHE, and complements his full kit gear already launched.

“I came up with the design roughly and HaiMetu design improvised on it. The shoes will be available in all Street Fever shops, Antonio’s Art and in the boot of my car (Lol), so if u see me driving stop me, I have it.”

He further said the shoes are manufactured in China, is of high quality and not costly.

Apart from the music business, the budding entrepreneur also trades under the flagship oMUnangeSHEfa Poultry, which sells chickens, chicks and eggs.

The ‘Onkalamwenyo’ hitmaker has also felt the brunt of the pandemic and had to retrench seven workers.

“I only have 15 employees now since I had to reduce them from 22 when Covid-19 struck. This is not negotiable, we can’t debate, and Covid is real.”

“This (business) has always been the plan since day one when I entered the music industry. Fame has opened doors for us; it’s just us to invest in different businesses. You can’t put all eggs in one basket. It’s not too late to start though,” he advised.
