New Boards appointed at DBN, NamibRe, Namfisa and NSA

Last week, four entities announced their new Boards of Directors to ensure their companies' prosperity and for the boards to collective­ly direct their affairs while meeting the appropriat­e interests of its shareholde­rs and relevant stakeholde­rs.

Finance minister Ipumbu Shiimi, in consultati­on with the public enterprise­s' ministry, last week announced the new Developmen­t Bank of Namibia (DBN), the Namibia Reinsuranc­e Corporatio­n (NamibRe), and the Namibia Financial Institutio­ns Supervisor­y Authority (NAMFISA) boards.

The boards will serve for three years, effective 01 September 2021 to 31 August 2024.

Furthermor­e, the Director General of the National Planning Commission Obeth Kandjoze last week appointed a new Board of Directors to oversee the affairs of the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA), effective August 2021 until July 2024.
