New Renault Koleos offers all-round refinement

Renault’s flagship SUV, the new Koleos is all-things luxury. Capacious, competent and well-equipped, the Koleos exudes an air of quality, distinguishable by a very distinctive and powerful design encapsulating all the stylistic cues of the brand’s distinct design identity, now with more striking LED front headlamps and LED rear lights. With its sturdy and high-end design, its comfort and its outstanding performance, the Renault Koleos has successfully established itself as an international reference in the large SUV segment.

The Renault Koleos represents the ‘ne plus ultra’ of Renault’s high-end range, with a very distinctive clientele seeking a supreme driving experience, and stand-out styling. The 3 000 plus Koleos units sold to date are testimony to its niche positioning.

With its assertive design and sophisticated interior, the new Koleos is as attractive as ever. Looks are certainly something the Koleos gets right. Up front, the eye-catching C-shaped Daytime Running Lights extends beyond the new LED headlight units to create an even more forceful gaze and at the back, while the new wider LED tail lights serve to amplify the impression of width and draw attention to the centrally-positioned Renault diamond. These latest design refinement elements further elevate the distinct Koleos styling.

In fact, the Koleos is an embodiment of Renault’s new design language with its more alluring styling and strong presence. While the New Koleos line-up has been updated, the features that favourably distinguish it from other SUVs have been retained.

The front-end of the new Koleos features a pronounced front grille, with luxurious chrome insets, extending to the chrome-underlined fog lamps. In the lower part, the bumper boasts an impressive skid plate which accentuates the vehicle’s adventurous stance.

The new Koleos retains its distinctive and striking features like its chrome trim extending horizontally down the whole wing, making the front-end appear longer, with new chrome wing trims. Its C-shaped lighting signature, a strong trait common to all Renault models, gives it a strong and penetrating look. While, the high-end impression is created through its narrower body fitting and sharp lines.

The new LED front and rear lights of the Koleos replicate the full LED lighting signature, that is now instantly distinguishable as part of the new Renault design language, now with dynamic rear indicators integrated in the new LED rear tail lamps. The eye-catching C-shaped Daytime Running Lights extends beyond the headlight units themselves to create an even more forceful gaze. Dependent on the version, New Koleos is available with Pure Vision Full LED main- and dipped- beam lights.

For significantly enhanced night-time visibility, this technology provides a beam that is 20% more powerful than that of halogen headlights. Meanwhile, a very stylish interior features creature comforts like customisable LED cabin lighting to complement the mood of the driver and/ or passengers, front cup holders that can be chilled or heated and a sliding centre console for ideal driving position. In addition to having one of the longest wheelbases in its class, the Koleos’ wheelbase of 2 704mm and overall length of 4 672mm frees up record roominess for all occupants. Rear passengers benefit from class-topping knee room (289mm) while there is also 464 litres of space in the boot which can grow to an impressive 1 700 litres with the rear seats folded down.
