I am a wounded lion - Kakololo

- - Nampa

Namibian featherweight boxer and former African Boxing Union champion Nathaniel Natty Kakololo has sent a stern warning to his opponent Johannes Niinkoti, saying he is a wounded lion and the latter will feel his wrath tonight.

They fight in the Salute Boxing Academy’s Building Champions Boxing Bonanza scheduled for the Roman Catholic Hall.

Kakololo, who has a record of 15 fights - 11 wins, three losses and one draw - is expected to redeem himself when he takes on Niinkoti, who has a record of 12 fights - three wins, five losses and four draws.

In a recent interview with Nampa, Kakololo said after his recent defeats in Ukraine and Russia, he is looking forward to a good fight when he steps into the ring.

He lost his fight in Ukraine when he challenged Oleg Malinovskyi for the World Boxing Organisation title, and then went on to lose against Andranik Grigorian in Russia earlier this year.

Kakololo further said he is a champion, and champions don’t get ready, “they stay ready”.

“My opponent for this upcoming boxing bonanza is my fan, seeing that I fought for this country a number of times, and he was watching me doing that,” he claimed.

Also speaking to Nampa, Kakololo’s coach Tobias Nashilongo said his boxer is ready.

“All that Kakololo needs is one good punch. But he has prepared well, and he will now take the opportunity given to him with both hands,” enthused

Nashilongo.

Other fights on the bill include Albinus ‘Danny Boy’ Felesianu vs Mathew Kandara; Jonas Matheus vs Salatiel Moses; Sacky Amutjaa vs David Haufiku; Lazarus ‘Keylock’ Shaningwa vs Andreas Nghinaunye; Bernard Bernard vs Filemon Amwaama; Lazarus NamalambovsAndreasMwenyo; and Fillemon Nghutenanye vs Mathew Nghikevali.
