Ark Trading throws weight behind Enduro series

-

The Namibian Enduro Club has announced that Ark Trading will sponsor the remaining races on its 2022 calendar.

Ark Trading, which supplies building materials and an assortment of other hardware, will cater for the fuel and related expenses in the remaining races on the Namibia Enduro motorcycle calendar.

There are eight races left for the year, with the next race set for 21 May at Farm Aris and the last race on their calendar slated for 21 November at a venue still to be communicated.

In a recent interview, Wilhelm van Niekerk, Namibia Enduro Motorcycle (NEM) chairperson said they are excited to have a sponsor on board in one of the most exciting sports in the country.

“As a sports club, our goal is to enhance the sport and allow more people to compete in the sport. Having Ark Trading on board is exciting as this will help us in growing the sport as well as seeing more families building relations with their kids while competing in the sport of enduro,” he said.

Ark Trading managing director, Paul Koster said apart from him being in the sport himself for over four years, it is also part of their social responsibility to give back to the nation.

“We want the sport to grow and to sensitise people on what the sport is all about. We want this negative perception that people believe of the sport being dangerous to be cleared as families can compete in this sport as well as spend good times together,” he said.

Koster could not divulge how much the sponsorship is worth, but said it will cover the fuel needs and other logistics for the remaining races of the season.
