Goals galore in Okamatapat­i stream

The Okamatapat­i division stream under the auspices of Namibia Football Associatio­n's Okakarara third division league produced goals galore over the weekend in the third and fourth round matches.

On Saturday, at Okamatapat­i Combine School (CS) sports ground, Classic Eleven defeated Amakhosi Boys 2-1 in the first match, while Okamatapat­i CS humiliated Lala United with a 16-2 scoreline.

In the last Saturday encounter, Ekuja Monjama crushed Scorpions 5-1.

Okamatapat­i continued with their fine form and scored five goals against Scorpions, who failed to find the back of the net in the early Sunday encounter.

Ekuija Monjama defeated Amakhosi Boys 5-2, whereas

Classic Eleven won their match 15-2 against Lala United.

Furthermor­e, the Okakarara Town and Okondjatu streams kicked off with their league matches over the weekend.

In Okakarara, Golden Mission triumphed over Blue Boys 1-0 in the first league match played at Okakarara Secondary School (OSS) sports field.

This was followed by Clever Boys FC, who locked horns against Okakarara Vocational Training Centre, with the latter winning the match 2-0.

Namvoc FC crushed Okaondeka 3-0, Oruindjo lost 4-1 against Onduezu 4-1, while OSS humiliated Flying Eagle 5-1.

The Gum and Mint FC defeated Nantu FC 2-0, while Namvoc FC and Golden Mission played to a goalless stalemate on Sunday.

The other third-division league matches were played in the Okondjatu stream on Sunday at the Okondjatu Combined School sports field, where

Okondjatu Nampol was defeated 2-1 by Farm Boys in the first game.

Dream Team outclassed Okatjaveva, winning the game 7-1, whereas Chief Hei crushed Ekuenje 1-0 in the last game.

After the fourth-round matches in the Okamatapat­i stream, Muningandu Kauuova is topping the top goals scoring chart with seven goals, followed in second by his teammate, Mbamunouze­u Mbaruka, with six goals.

The third top goal scorer position is shared by Okeri Kazombiaze (Classic Eleven), Salo Mbaukua (Classic Eleven), Inaani Karieue (Okamatapat­i CS), Mbatemua Willem (Okamatapat­i CS) and Muningandu Handura of Ekuija Monjama with four goals each.

Coblens Stream is yet to start the league matches and the winners from each stream will play in the play-offs, where the winner will get an automatic promotion to the second division.
