Chocolate chip cookies

MAKES 44 PREP AND COOK TIME 30 MINUTES

250g butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¾ cup (165g) caster (super-fine) sugar ¾ cup (165g) brown sugar, firmly packed 1 egg

2¼ cups (335g) plain (all-purpose) flour 1 teaspoon baking soda

300g (1½ cups) NESTLÉ BAKERS’ CHOICE Dark CHOC BITS

1 Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease oven trays and line with baking paper. 2 Beat butter, extract, sugars and egg in a small bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluy. Transfer mixture to a large bowl; stir in sifted flour and soda, in two batches. Stir in NESTLÉ BAKERS’ CHOICE Dark CHOC BITS.

3 Roll tablespoon­s of mixture into balls; place 5cm apart on trays.

4 Bake cookies 15 minutes or until golden; cool on trays.
