Cho­co­late chip cook­ies

MAKES 44 PREP AND COOK TIME 30 MIN­UTES

250g but­ter, soft­ened

1 tea­spoon vanilla ex­tract

¾ cup (165g) caster (super-fine) sugar ¾ cup (165g) brown sugar, firmly packed 1 egg

2¼ cups (335g) plain (all-pur­pose) flour 1 tea­spoon bak­ing soda

300g (1½ cups) NESTLÉ BAK­ERS’ CHOICE Dark CHOC BITS

1 Pre­heat oven to 180°C. Grease oven trays and line with bak­ing pa­per. 2 Beat but­ter, ex­tract, sug­ars and egg in a small bowl with an elec­tric mixer un­til light and fluy. Trans­fer mix­ture to a large bowl; stir in sifted flour and soda, in two batches. Stir in NESTLÉ BAK­ERS’ CHOICE Dark CHOC BITS.

3 Roll ta­ble­spoons of mix­ture into balls; place 5cm apart on trays.

4 Bake cook­ies 15 min­utes or un­til golden; cool on trays.
