Tom Hiddleston does not need TayTay on his arm to make me want to watch him on the big screen. Turns out I love him as much on the small screen as well. John Le Carre penned the book The Night Manager in the early 1990s, and now the BBC has adapted it with Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier ( In a Better World) at the helm. The fact she has been nominated for an Emmy for her trouble, with the series also getting nods for another four for acting (Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman and Hugh Laurie) and writing (David Farr), should tell you enough about this excellent six-parter. The story of a hotel manager tumbling headlong into the dangerous world of international arms trading is a riveting watch, delivered by a class collaboration. Dive in immediately.
