OH MY! This book kills me. It is so sweeping and expansive and encompasses large tracts of humanity in its slow, deep trudge through various lives. Spanning generations, the characters are so wise I literally wrote out large screeds of dialogue. One of my favourites: “All great and precious things are lonely.”
