The Himalayan blue poppy, which I first saw growing in the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. There is no blue like it, it is just so remarkable. I love how, at the end of the day, flowers close their petals like they are going to sleep – the Himalayan blue poppy folds its petals but also droops, like it is hanging its head. I don’t think there is anything we make as humans that is as beautiful or simple as a flower.
