When I am working hard and need to wind down I… Go shopping. It takes my mind off work. I love meditation but I need something that is the total opposite of what I do. The person who inspires me the

most is… My husband of 40 years, Steve. I’m a Leo and so I can get myself very worked up, but he is so easygoing. He is my New Zealand manager and a great cook who makes all my meals – so he is a very versatile husband! When you are on television you become public property and people say some unbelievable things, but he will say, “Think of the 90 per cent, not the 10 per cent.” He is my rock. The three items I take with me

wherever I go are… My purse, makeup and phone.

If deadI couldit would bring be… someoneMy grandmotherback from the on my I didn’t mum’s have side.a very She goodwas so childhood beautiful. and she lived just a few doors down from us. When things were really bad I would run down there. Her energy was lovely. The best advice I ever received was…

Be yourself. The book or film that changed my

life was… What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams – I think that producer knew a lot about the other side. It really resonated with me. If I could invent one thing it would be…

A cure for all illnesses.

If I had a billion dollars I would… Build more buildings for Hospice, donate food to schools for hungry children, buy dogs for the Blind Foundation and create an organisation for adults with terminal illnesses to fulfil their bucket lists. My favourite way to spend Sunday

is… If it is a nice day I like to go for a drive, or to the beach. On wintry days I just chill out at home in Maungaraki, Wellington. We are on a hill and I love looking out to sea and watching the ferries coming in. It’s so peaceful.
